February flew by! Although it was short, the students were focused learning about Black History Month. Students were assigned an influential person such as Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Michelle and Barack Obama. The students will be bringing their final copies home this week.
Students were also learning about the Midwest region! Midwest test should have come home on February 28th! In math we dove into fractions and began learning about equivalent fractions.
This month in math we are focusing on adding and subtracting fractions. Students will be learning how to change a mixed number to an improper fraction and vice versa.
In reading and writing, we are learning about plot structure. We will also be talking about Women's History Month and conducting mini-research projects. During our social studies time, we are learning about the West region.
Upcoming Dates (all subject to change!)
March 1 - Chapter 6 Math Test
March 15 - Social Studies Test: West Region
